Have your pity party and keep it moving

What we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down.

– Mary Pickford

Like my mother says, “Have your pity party and keep it moving.”

Good old mom, always there to remind me that it’s alright to feel sorry for yourself, but not to let it bring me to the point of depression or to a place where I am stagnant.

We all at one time or another feel like the victim and seek sympathy when we experience pain, grief or misfortune.

In those times when the challenges of life get you down, just remember you were given this life because you were strong enough to live it, so don’t let that bump in the road keep you down. Have your pity party, pick yourself up and keep it moving.
