Troubles don’t live here

I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I’ve bought a big bat. I’m all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!

Although this quote is meant to be humorous it was said with a purpose…

A lot of times when difficulty and troubles come into our lives we are too accepting of them.

We may find ourselves inviting them in, making room for them, giving them space to grow and take over.

We claim them as our own by calling them “my” problem. When in reality they are not meant to be apart of us, they are just passing through.

Instead of allowing them to consume us, keep them at a distance; they are not your possessions.

Rather than getting comfortable with the troubles at hand, treat them as a minor inconvenience, a temporary annoyance, an unfortunate circumstance, a discomfort only for a time, a technical difficulty…you get the picture.

In essence they are not permanent, the only constant in life is change, so keep in mind that your circumstances must and will change.
